The Nigerian government has sacked all the directors in the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) according to reports in the Nation newspaper.

According to the Nation, the General Manager of the Public Affairs department of the NCAA, Mr. Sam Adurugboye, has confirmed the sack of the directors. According to a statement attributed to Adurogboye, he had this to say:
It is true that all the directors have been disengaged, but I don’t have details of their disengagement,”
According to reports, the Minister of State for aviation, Hon Hadi Sirika announced the sack of the directors and directed them to immediately hand over power to their next in command.

The directors affected are the following:
Salawu Ozigi (Director of Finance and Accounts), Joyce Nkemakolam (Director of Aerodrome and Airspace Standards), Aba Ejembi (Director of Administration), Emmanuel Ogunbami (Director of Licensing), and Benedict Adeyileka (Director of Airworthiness).
Others are Justus Wariya (Director of Air Transport Regulation), Adamu Abdullahi (Director of Consumer Protection), Ayodele Sasegbon (Director of General Aviation) and Austin-Amadi Ifeanyi (Director of Human Resources).
